LOOKING FOR A FLATSHARE

Hello All,

Baaaaaarbie (Kimberly) here, just thought I'd send out to the HASH;

I'm looking for a flat share in Islington-Angel-Holloway-Arsenal type area.

Does anyone have a room or is anyone looking for a place in the area that might want to start a new share?

If you can help please drop me a line at saintblue10(AT)yahoo.com

Cheers BaBa

I have in my possesion a green polo neck jumper, black hat, green scrunchy and a paperback book left in the pub last night. If you wish to see these items again, please come along to City Hash on Tuesday 8th Dec as I will bring them along then.
You may have to do a forfeit or buy a Christmas Party ticket...

Setting trails in snow...
Not a problem that we have to deal with very often on CH3. Obviously flour and chalk are unlikely to be much use.

Squeaky hashed in Warsaw for several years (where they do have snow regularly); I've also set a few runs in heavy snow as well. Here's a few ideas:

- red lentils (but they need to be cold or else they melt into the snow)
- couscous (or go to a Polish shop and ask for "kasha" - which I am told is a bright orange/yellow colour before cooking)
- shredded red cabbage (!)
- crushed cornflakes
- a couple of liquid options (to be put into a plant sprayer - with the nozzle set to squirt not spray - easy to mark arrows, checks etc.):
- (1) Ribena
- (2) dark ink - in both cases you may want to add some meths or similar to lower the freezing point to prevent a frozen nozzle
- one last suggestion, if you can get hold of it: Kool-Aid or Gatorade powder. Not very easy to get hold of in this country, but I understand this method is often used in N America.

The best choice will depend on whether the snow drifts last or not: if they do, I would be tempted to use one of the liquid methods.

Good luck tomorrow hare(s) - and remember no white powder if you're setting the trail in the City!
