Just a little note to ask you to please support my Marathon run!?!!
As many of you my Dad passed away late last summer and in light of that I have decided to run the marathon in benefit of Asthma UK. My dad was a life long sufferer of asthma.
My training is going very well and my longest run to date was 21 miles in the weird and wonderful weather of Easter Monday, and for those of you who understand the pace I run at....it took me considerable time (Yes, I did it all at once and all in one day). I've also given up alcohol for the two months prior to the run, that's over a month without a beer so far!!
I have promised to raise 1500 Sterling British Pounds, HELP!!
Also let me say a big thank you to those of you who have kindly donated already!

Participants need to raise £1500 and are asked to put down a deposit of £300 which they get back upon successful fundraising.
The Rainforest Foundation supports people living in and around the world\'s rainforests to protect the environment and fulfill their rights to land, life and livelihood. The work of the Rainforest Foundation spans all major tropical rainforest regions with projects in 18 countries.
Last April we had 11 participants running the marathon who raised in excess of £15,000.
This year we aim to do even better but need more runners to do so! Around 150,000 square kilometres of tropical rainforest, equivalent to the size of England and Wales, is destroyed every year. To date the Rainforest Foundation has already protected 115,000 sq km. Our current projects aim to save a further 860,000 sq km, an area of rainforest the combined size of Britain and France.
Every step run with the Rainforest Foundation will help us reach our target.

You may not recognize the 2nd Hash name as we broke a tradition and named a visiting Hasher, once we discovered that she had no Hash name.
We are still trying to figure out the exact spelling of "Afro Titty", or "Aphro Ditty", as we had all had a few by the time this was done and no-one can remember what our RA said at the time. A good time was had by all, as can be seen by the photos on Fototime :-
